TRUCK RULES:
STOCK CLASS - 6200# & 6500#
Truck must be street legal: Vehicle must have bumper, windshield, windows, instrument panel,
working directional's, wipers, and doors. No other alterations are allowed.
- Any kind of gasoline may be used. NO nitrous oxide.
- No weight is to be added to the front of vehicle. (Weights must be inside the box)
- Weights should be marked, and must be secured.
Frame-mounted hitch OK, must be in stock location and maximum drawbar height is
28" as measured from the ground to top of drawbar surface.
- Hitch must be ridged in all directions During Pull.
- Stock Trucks may be trailered to the event.
- Engine must be a standard production truck or automobile engine of the same manufacture as vehicle, with a bolt-in installation using stock parts.
- No obvious non-stock horsepower influencing equipment is permitted. Factory parts intended for racing or marine use are NOT permitted.
- You may not run with open exhaust, you must have mufflers.
8000# STOCK - DIESEL
1. Only Diesel and Bio-Diesel fuel may be used. NO alcohol, nitrous oxide, propane, or oxygen
enhancing agents allowed.
2. One engine only is permitted and must be in stock location. Engine must come form factory
in 1-ton or smaller truck.
3. Only stock-appearing turbo of same manufacturer is allowed. Must be factory make-specific.
6.4 liter Powerstroke engines may use the factory twin-tuyrbo configuration.
4. Water injection is not allowed and all components must be removed from vehicle.
5. The use of hand throttle controls is not allowed.
6. Radiators must bhe in stock location
7. Exhaust must exit behind cab. If muffler or catalytic converter have been changed from stock,
must have two 3/8" bolts installed through exhaust pipe in a cross pattern within one inch of
each other to the turbo as practical.
8. All vehicles turning 4500 rpms or higher must have a SFI approved harmonic balancer or
guard.
9. Batteries must be securely mounted and may not be located in cab or in front of core support.
DRIVELINE
1. Vehicle must have a factory-type housing for transmission and transfer case. They must have
been an option on a one-ton or smaller pick-up.
2. Vehicle must have working unmodified stock style brakes.
3. Rear-ends must be correct for year, make and model.
4. No non factory full hydraulic or hydraulic assisted steering allowed.
5. Vehicle must have unmodified transmission and transfer case.
CHASSIS
1. No weight is to be added to the front of the vehicle. Weights must be inside the box. Weights
should be marked and must be secure. No forward mounted bracing for weight bar is allowed.
2. Must have stock body and full bed floor. Vehicle must have steel floor and firewall.
3. Wheelbase or frame modifications which would influence pulling ability are not permitted.
Must have factory wheelbase length.
4. Suspension must be stock with at least one shock absorber per wheel. Airbag assistance is
allowed but compressors must be disconnected.
5. Traction bars and devices are allowed, bolt on only. Welds are allowed for attachment to frame
or axle housing.
6. Tires must be DOT approved. All tires shall be unmodified street type. NO cut tires. Bead
locks are not allowed.
7. Frame-mounted hitch must be in stock location. It must be located past stock uncut frame rails.
